Another aspect of the credibility
of reports in the media is the reporter's freedom to report the information
without censorship.
Censorship is the blocking or deleting
of material or ideas that someone does not agree with.
The more freedom an individual or
organization has to report on events, the higher the credibility of those
reports.
Example: When news reporters were
restricted in their coverage of the Gulf War in 1991, the public may have
perceived the media as less credible.
