Geographic Area and Language

Some databases include materials published from a particular country such as the United States. Other databases may include materials from a broader geographic area such as North America, Asia, or anywhere in the world.

For example, notice the different geographic coverage described for the two databases shown below:

Some databases include materials written in languages other than English.
Here is a citation from a database (MEDLINE) which includes non-English materials.
